FANG locks down at Citizens Bank’s corporate HQ in Providence

Three people representing the FANG Collective locked themselves to the parking lot side of the Citizens Bank building at One Citizens Plaza this morning in Providence. All three were arrested by the Providence Police. In all the action lasted about 35 minutes.

Two of those locking down have been identified as Mayo Saji and Eleanor Meshnick.

“Citizens Bank has contributed to a $2.5 billion loan to Sunoco Logistics, one of the pipeline companies behind DAPL, the Mariner East Pipeline in Pennsylvania, the Bayou Bridge Pipeline in Louisiana and the Trans-Pecos Pipeline in Texas,” said the FANG Collective in a statement.

FANG is calling for people to join the #ShameOnCitizens campaign by pledging to close their Citizens Bank accounts.

The first arrest happened right away, as they were not locked to the door, but merely blocking it.
